Just found this
URGENT: Recently, people have been
receiving messages from Discord accounts filled with blank messages.
When they open the message, their Discord crashes, they have their auth token stolen and password changed, even if you have 2FA.
They then receive an email from "CryptoDeath" saying that they can have their account back for €30 bitcoin.
Once your account is stolen by the CryptoDeath ransomware, your account will be used to send messages to all your contacts, further hijacking accounts.
DO NOT open messages from a new Discord account you do not know, and BE CAREFUL when opening Direct Messages from even your friends!
There is NO DEFENSE against this exploit! Until Discord fixes this bug error, you have to be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS!
PSA: If you receive a message from a discord account, be cautious, as it could be a ransomware called "CryptoDeath" and you could lose your account!
THERE IS NO BETTER DEFENSE AGAINST "CryptoDeath" THAN KNOWLEDGE OF IT.
