it becomes pretty obvious
unless they are deviant
does it?
yep
in my personal experience, the people who are easy to peg as females, are usually people begging for attention
I played a lot of MMOs, it was really hard to guess incorrectly their gender after a while, even if VC wasn't used
did you use VC to correctly identify them?
yup
after a while, raiding with VC became the norm
also, i doubt gaming is a good example, particularly MMOs and Shooting games. those are still pretty damn male
but that is not even most of the internet anymore
MMOs aren't necessarily
MMOs aren't that much
But I wouldn't use MMOs as an example necessarily based on personality types
there's a lot of social things, decorations, fashion, etc
cute things, events
etc
so then it doesn't fit your narrative of still being mostly male.
it is still mostly male
but the ratio isnt as bad as what you pointed out
etc
okay, i admit FPSs is way worse than MMO, but they are still mostly male, and have been for a very long time. true, you are seeing more females, but that is across the board.
its not like phone games
from a team of 8, I raided, we had 4 women
which seem to hold the female market
and children
most games aren't appealing to women
i'm confused. I though you were arguing that the internet these days is not filled with way more female influence than people care to admit
it's like I said from the start, women started focusing on social media after it became a thing, they dont usually like anonymous settings
Apparently WoW is slowly switching to mostly Wahmen for total time played
Oh this was a while ago
women play MMOs, that doesn't mean they do the same things
So yeah, MMOs are closer to the 40/60 and 50/50 split
they waste way more time chatting and socializing
decoration and fashion also became a thing in MMOs
theres also collectibles, etc
men focus on competition
in those same games
and status
Fantasy mmos to be specific. Scifi based mmos skew much more towards male
