Hmm It seems getting Pasionate fanbases to attack you is a lot harder than the media says it is.

2018-08-17 19:28:03 UTC

tons of pokemon added in Gen 2 became competitive staples with good stats too

2018-08-17 19:28:12 UTC

no

2018-08-17 19:28:22 UTC

what besides ttar?

2018-08-17 19:28:35 UTC

Blissy, Forretress, Heraross, Miltank, Steelix, Skarmory

2018-08-17 19:28:44 UTC

Ok yeah that's true

2018-08-17 19:28:45 UTC

@Khanclansith what do you mean?

2018-08-17 19:28:54 UTC

but the rest basically suck

2018-08-17 19:28:55 UTC

That said, the gen 3 remakes and Platinum are much higher on my list favorably than chronologically

2018-08-17 19:28:59 UTC

Umbreon, Proygon2, Suicune

2018-08-17 19:29:17 UTC

Mistreavous was playable in Gen 2

2018-08-17 19:29:20 UTC

Like so many of them are basically unusable and it makes me sad

2018-08-17 19:29:51 UTC

I just want Ledeon to be good. He's so cool

2018-08-17 19:29:56 UTC

Here I am claiming all Pokemon games suck and rather than trying to lynch me like the media says toxic fanbases do, they are all ignoring me while going on about which games they preffer @.B

2018-08-17 19:29:57 UTC

gen 2 competitive teams were a good 50/50 mix of gen 1 and 2 mons

2018-08-17 19:30:18 UTC

HAHAHHAHHA

2018-08-17 19:30:27 UTC

Gen 2 was a bit of a stallfest because of how EVs worked

2018-08-17 19:30:38 UTC

stall is love, stall is life

2018-08-17 19:30:39 UTC

That's a big part of them adding in entry hazards in 3

2018-08-17 19:30:40 UTC

Well, ignoring people that aren't saying anything productive is usual

2018-08-17 19:30:55 UTC

Spikes were added in gen 2

2018-08-17 19:30:58 UTC

some meta discussions are just avoidable too

2018-08-17 19:31:05 UTC

RIP Khan, your b8 sucked

2018-08-17 19:31:25 UTC

As much as people complain about the games all being the same the games did a good job at adding new mechanics each gen

2018-08-17 19:32:33 UTC

every game changed the competitive scene quite a bit

2018-08-17 19:33:19 UTC

I just didn't like what the competitive scene became with gen 5 onwards

2018-08-17 19:33:41 UTC

Gen 4 was the last great pokemon meta imo

2018-08-17 19:33:45 UTC

I think from best to worst I'd rank White 2, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Black 2, Platinum, Heart Gold, Y, X, all the ones I haven't played, GO, Moon, Sun

2018-08-17 19:34:28 UTC

I liked gen 5 the best as long as you avoid OU

2018-08-17 19:34:44 UTC

(also I don't do competitive so that isn't factoring into my rankings)

2018-08-17 19:34:47 UTC

4 added the very best change though with the phys/special split. No question about that

2018-08-17 19:34:56 UTC

the split was amazing

2018-08-17 19:35:14 UTC

but the cancer that was weather teams plagued gen 5 imo

2018-08-17 19:35:32 UTC

weather & baton pass was just objectively stronger than everything else in the game

2018-08-17 19:35:43 UTC

That's why you just didn't play OU

2018-08-17 19:35:59 UTC

that shit was still a plague in UU

2018-08-17 19:36:15 UTC

the only difference were the mons used

2018-08-17 19:36:54 UTC

I still say that megaevos while a nice attempt at bringing old pokemon into viability were a mistake. They brought too much focus onto a very small amount of pokemon to build your team around

2018-08-17 19:37:04 UTC

then there was the spam dragons & steel types meta cancer that required adding the Fairy type to even fix

2018-08-17 19:37:07 UTC

Pokemon *Bank* was more fun than Pokemon Sun

2018-08-17 19:37:48 UTC

That was always an issue with those types being overpowered. It was an inevitability that as they added more every game it would be a problem
