gen 5 was my least favorite generation ever

I only played gen1 and 2

it was great

gen 2 was easily the best

I've never played original B&W

I hated all the Pokemon games

gen 4 had the best competitive meta IMO

gen 5 was where everything went downhill

Gen 2 had a lot of cool stuff in it, but it barely added any pokemon and the ones that it did had godawful stats

pokemon with awful designs have existed in every generation. That said, not every generation is equal

Not to mention the single player had some serious issues. You still dealt with level 20 wild pokemon near the final gym

Mr. Mime, Jinx, Voltorb...

Voltorb is an interesting take on mimics in a game where a pokeball is a chest

and some really dumb evolutions where you just add more pokemon. Magnemite, Dugtrio

not to mention a nice visual pun

gen 6 & 7 both added less pokemon than gen 2, and gen 4 only added 7 more

I think the biggest problem with the series is diminishing returns
White 2 was the first one I played, and my favorites are almost exactly in line with the order I played them in to the point of not even leaving Sun & Moon's first island

Hmm It seems getting Pasionate fanbases to attack you is a lot harder than the media says it is.

tons of pokemon added in Gen 2 became competitive staples with good stats too

Mistreavous was playable in Gen 2
