Once upon a time there was a Marvel story arc called Secret Wars
Oh Marvel... >.>
Marvel in my opinion is better.
Secret Wars was when all the heroes teamed up to fight an ultra-powerful foe called The Beyonder
That's not important
What is important is that Spider-Man got his all new black suit from this story arc.
He had that black suit a lot longer than most people think
I always liked Tony Stark, because of his creativity, but I hated his darker story-lines as a drunk or part of the illuminate.
It wasn't a parasite at all for the longest time
It was merely "Spider-Man becomes more powerful because of alien goop. And that's who he is now"
Eventually they wanted Spider-Man kinda... normal-er again?
But inspiration struck one night
To turn that discarded suit into a villain.
But why?
Shall we talk about the forbidden arc? Clone saga?
(I'm going somewhere with this)
This is a pretty strange idea, even for Marvel
A suit becomes a villain?
Before it bonds with Eddie Brock, it's still ALIVE on its own.
Alright so there's a show on at the time.
You may have heard of it.
Wasn't a big deal.
Pretty good. I'd watch it again.
So anyway
A WEEK before Venom's first appearance, there's an episode of this show.
RIP Tasha
This is all just my theory but the timeline is PERFECT for it.
Venom is Armus from Star Trek.
Art is inspired by real life and comics intimidate real life. Sometimes art intimidates arts....
Well.
Yeah.
And it's good. Rip-offs are great when the people ripping off will acknowledge it.
There's no reason to be afraid of saying "YEah we liked Big Trouble In Little China so we made a Street Fighter 2-clone about it."
