anime hasent been my taste since the 90s
oh I just bought that entire series
's manga
but thats not to say there cant be good anime
i mean trigun was made in the 2000s
Most anime these days are overridden by awful tropes.
Usually dumb main characters.
I think FMA is seriously overrated. It's good, but I wouldn't say it's great. It's certainly great compared to other similar shonen series, but that's about it
arch-fiend you should watch megalobox
it's a love letter to 90's anime
Huh
I never preferred movies to any other medium tbh
too short
too shallow
there is a lot of 90s anime i still havent seen so ill have to get around to things when i get around to them
He didn't say he preferred them. He said, per hour invested, you get more entertainment.
Because a lot of series will have some shitty episodes.
i don't think FMA is particularly amazing, but it is really good for a shonen series
And you waste an hour or two watching shitty episodes.
theres also old anime that wasent good
and the difference between FMA and brotherhood is crazy
lets not kid ourselfs
Movies can definitely be too short to go into any real depth. I consider their main positive in being how easy they are to watch with other people
ah, that must be why I don't like em that much
movie series' usually are what do it for me
i mean i hate inuyasha and bleach and those arnt particulerly young anime
evangelion reboots, madoka movies, there's one i can't remember the name of that was a very good x-men ripoff
Also movies in general have been in a slump lately. If it's not a reboot, a sequel, or a cape film it's not getting much funding
i hate eva, i hate dragonball z
yeah when's the last time a good movie got made
Most of those are for kids
looking to the last 20 years or so, my favorite anime have all been Westernized as fuck or highly experimental (or pandering to my fetishes). Panty & Stocking, Space Dandy, etc.
anime movie or western movie?
my favorite is from 2009
Western movies
i don't watch many of those lmao
i am so behind on western movies
animated movies are underrepresented in what comes over here from japan
If you like isekai, I recommend Log Horizon and Overlord.
that i watched watchmen for the first time last week
But even they're overridden with some tropes.
anime that specifically aim to break boundaries and attempt to me more experimental, ironically making them more"Western"
