simply by the fact your stomach can't even hold 5 liters at a time, if nothing else

2018-09-01 15:53:42 UTC

I started on shots at 15. I would drink 2 and that was the night. I got way less problems with alcohol than most of my friends that went full on beers and didn't even know how much they drank

2018-09-01 15:54:18 UTC

it's not like you need 5 liters when you're young

2018-09-01 15:54:35 UTC

pretty sure you're an outlier then, drinking and *stopping* at 2 shots seems a bit... eh. Uncommon

2018-09-01 15:54:37 UTC

for a kid a liter would be enough

2018-09-01 15:54:42 UTC

sure

2018-09-01 15:54:47 UTC

but the proportion is the same

2018-09-01 15:54:50 UTC

more or less

2018-09-01 15:55:00 UTC

I mean it depends on what beer and what vodka you get

2018-09-01 15:55:11 UTC

but that's what I said above, the proportion changes but that's it

2018-09-01 15:55:42 UTC

it's not like kids go into Vodka and drink it like it is beer

2018-09-01 15:55:55 UTC

nor has that ever been my argument

2018-09-01 15:56:13 UTC

Heh, back when I was a kid, I made my own hooch. Was about 18% but good.

2018-09-01 15:56:17 UTC

kids go into vodka and drink half a bottle, which happens a LOT

2018-09-01 15:56:43 UTC

drinking 2 shots and calling it a night, doesn't happen so much

2018-09-01 15:57:59 UTC

that's, what? 8 cl? The equivalent of a liter beer. two pints more or less

2018-09-01 15:58:23 UTC

hell, I don't even know girls who drank that little in a night growing up, unless they were driving or something

2018-09-01 15:58:40 UTC

at 15 and clubbing, it's not like you want to go full drunk

2018-09-01 15:58:55 UTC

2 shots at the start was enough ๐Ÿ˜‚

2018-09-01 15:59:29 UTC

At the start ๐Ÿ˜

2018-09-01 15:59:35 UTC

I think it's more important to teach kids to do it safe and responsibly than to ban it and assume they won't drink

2018-09-01 15:59:37 UTC

just bottled some honey wine/mead I made btw, around 12%

2018-09-01 15:59:49 UTC

second time I've tried it and this is looking really promising so far

2018-09-01 15:59:59 UTC

but honestly, I don't understand the point on the % of alcohol

2018-09-01 16:00:12 UTC

What kind of bottle, wine with a cork or what?

2018-09-01 16:00:14 UTC

I would understand if you said, stuff above 50% is dangerous

2018-09-01 16:00:15 UTC

sure

2018-09-01 16:00:40 UTC

most kids wouldn't be able to drink it anyway

2018-09-01 16:01:04 UTC

Absinth and the like

2018-09-01 16:01:27 UTC

Most kids around here drink moonshine... they learn quick to be careful

2018-09-01 16:02:10 UTC

whatever I had lying around, really. It's been fermenting for just over a month, now I added some more honey, some spices, and put it into some plastic kegs, wine bottles, plastic bottles, etc.

2018-09-01 16:02:21 UTC

I never liked beer, I went for shots when I was young. It was cheaper too ๐Ÿ˜‚

2018-09-01 16:03:00 UTC

Donโ€™t put it in plastic, fermentation doesnโ€™t work well with it

2018-09-01 16:03:01 UTC

so I wonder how I would react to the current rules

2018-09-01 16:03:20 UTC

I would probably try to drink shots anyway

2018-09-01 16:04:07 UTC

works just fine

2018-09-01 16:04:33 UTC

now if I made something industrial scale or intended to store it for 3 years, then yeah, I wouldn't go with plastic

2018-09-01 16:05:00 UTC

What, you going let it set for just a week?

2018-09-01 16:05:04 UTC

but for personal consumption in the coming few months a good grade plastic is perfectly fine

2018-09-01 16:05:25 UTC

couple of months at most, I'd imagine

2018-09-01 16:06:16 UTC

in the 80's plastic was probably a bad choice, but there are some amazing plastics out there.
