its not real, but a very practical tool

2018-09-22 10:00:15 UTC

also since money isn't real they should make everything free

2018-09-22 10:00:51 UTC

when something is free it's the same as saying it has no value

2018-09-22 10:01:36 UTC

venezuelan currency is almost free at this point

2018-09-22 10:02:07 UTC

but I want more swords

2018-09-22 10:02:36 UTC

are agreements real?

2018-09-22 10:03:08 UTC

depends on if you're agreeing to give me a sword

2018-09-22 10:03:26 UTC

lets say i do
would that agreement be real?

2018-09-22 10:03:59 UTC

yes. should I give you my adrdess, or are you going to give me the money for it

2018-09-22 10:04:34 UTC

what makes it real?

2018-09-22 10:04:37 UTC

make it a katana

2018-09-22 10:04:50 UTC

because I want a sword

2018-09-22 10:05:21 UTC

how much money would you need for a katana?

2018-09-22 10:06:08 UTC

wait good point

2018-09-22 10:06:24 UTC

that would need japanese money and you probably don't have any of that

2018-09-22 10:07:01 UTC

it depends on how what a katana seller would want for it

2018-09-22 10:07:21 UTC

ya, but youre not japanese.

2018-09-22 10:07:33 UTC

Thanks for the offer anyway, maybe I'll find a way to get one some day

2018-09-22 10:08:13 UTC

you would have to reach an agreement with someone who possesses a katana

2018-09-22 10:08:38 UTC

I'd agree to whatever he wanted.

2018-09-22 10:08:46 UTC

because he has a katana, and you don't mess with a guy with a katana

2018-09-22 10:09:58 UTC

katanas are the most overrated sword in human history

2018-09-22 10:10:11 UTC

until after the trade when you have the katana, and the tables are turned

2018-09-22 10:10:48 UTC

the whole "folded over a thousand times" thing was done because japanese steel sucks ass and needs all it's imperfections meticulously hammered out

2018-09-22 10:10:49 UTC

Yeah, but that's just a case of weaboos being weaboos. They're fine swords and impressive given the shitty source of Iron Japan had to deal with.

Didn't they use a wallhanger for that test? I wouldn't take anything on TV as educational when it comes to historic weaponry.

2018-09-22 10:13:50 UTC

Also that's a pretty dumb test to begin with. Why would you want to chop into another sword that's braced against a table no matter what sword you're using?

2018-09-22 10:14:34 UTC

look at how it's braced and how it flexes, it looks like it's supported on only two points, near the tip and near the hilt

2018-09-22 10:14:45 UTC

I suspect that entire thing is fake tho

2018-09-22 10:15:08 UTC

I don't think you can make even pig iron bend that way with just a single whack

2018-09-22 10:15:14 UTC

I don't like the hilts of katanas though. A tsuba gives shit for hand protection. It's really impressive just how much a simple crossguard saves your hands.

2018-09-22 10:15:41 UTC

what weapons would your enemies be having anyway, i dont know what the test results are for

2018-09-22 10:16:20 UTC

katana vs. katana, it's not a battlefield weapon

2018-09-22 10:16:25 UTC

It's testing whether a katana would be effective against a man wearing armor made of longswords

2018-09-22 10:16:32 UTC

lol

2018-09-22 10:16:47 UTC

Katanas were absolutely battlefield weapons.

2018-09-22 10:17:17 UTC

barely, and mostly during WW2, before that polearms ruled the battlefield

2018-09-22 10:17:22 UTC

it's probably just to show people who only hear about katanas in pulp culture

2018-09-22 10:17:28 UTC

as well as bows of course

2018-09-22 10:17:34 UTC

Also are we discussing actualy *katana* katanas or just any katana pattern sword
