as a thought experiment, I could see accelerationism in *limited fields* to be effective **if and only if** a societal collapse doesn't occur.
Take for example IT censorship from the big ones, promote that to the level where the average Joe will no longer find it acceptable (we're already seeing this with Twitter to an extent), at that point alternatives will crop up, and things would decentralize at least for a while. In a best case scenario we could even get "incorruptible" alternatives. Point is as long as there's no total collapse we can hypothetically rebuild one area of our civilization at a time.

one problem is that the value of a degree is dependent on the credibility of the school. a new school, especially an online school, would have low credibility.
