Sure
But again, a person from the platform of YouTube would be far left leaning no?
So from YouTube's perspective, most are right leaning. Which is pretty much exactly what I clarified later
not only that, right leaning people are more active on youtube
so it shows on the views/ratings/etc
the common lefty isn't politically active
they usually have nothing to say compared to the MSM
meanwhile the right is positioned as the underdog, against the mainstream, the media, and the public opinion (coz you can't be public about being right wing nowadays)
The realistic bell curve of political stances in modern society and across most platforms squarely puts the global average as slightly left leaning. The problem is, extreme lefties have gone so far that no one with a brain can support the left anymore.
there's also the component of censorship that is interesting. On twitter they censor everyone, on youtube they can only censor creators
so twitter becomes visibly lefty, while on youtube, when they censor creators, the viewers on the right start to consume more right wing content
Reasonably speaking, I'm center-left. But the left is so absurd that I find myself needing to rally around traditionally right-wing outlets because they're the only sane option left.
what I don't get is why lefties that are against the current left aren't more vocal about it
but anyway, the right is quite welcoming to them
if they want to change sides
Trump was a democrat all allong, after all
It's because it's not socially appropriate. If you are against the super-extreme politically correct "but not ALL Muslims are terrorists, therefore we must let ALL Muslims into our country, INCLUDING the terrorists, to prove we're not racist!"... then you're a racist.
then "be the racist"
im racist
and im ok with that
I don't even think of "racism" as a problem tbh
the market auto-balances
in the way its described at this point? No its not
if it were 1930 I'd say "this is a problem"
yup
but at this point, its basically a non-issue at a population level
modern representation of what racism is: I'd be worried if you're not. Modern racism can be described as I did above.
as long as the laws are neutral, most examples of racism are just that, examples
ironically, the left is becoming more racist than any racism that existed before
"becoming"
they already were
Modern "racism" - Cops show up to arrest child rapists in germany and they all get away into the community, leading to future child rape. Police make a statement, "These men were... men. We cannot describe them further or it would be racist. So remember, if you see... MEN... they might be the rapists."
they were, but they were in small numbers
no. They were racist at a party level
sure, I agree on that
the intensity or way in which that presented itself has morphed but its been at their core since their inception
but the intensity is different now
imo
yeah of course
and the way in which it presents to the world is different
