It's fine. I wasted too much time.
Maybe when I retire.
Plus, I was really pissed how the quality of KDE and Gnome went downhill, so Iditched them for a while.
Rip. I just use openbox
Yes, I figured, by you asking about xdg.
But, I suppose it works in any environment.
BTW, you can use strace to debug quickly why it's not working.
Run xdg with strace prepended and you will see all system calls.
It usually tells you if it's looking in the wrong path, etc.
I don't care enough to debug it right now, but I will later
It might be that an environment/PATH variable is incorrect.
time to post my desktop because I like it so much
You can also run "which"
It has options for debug spew.
The desktop widget is nice.
Do you have an animated background?
Here's the autistic version
No, it's not animated
I might
I just prefer to keep RAM to a minimum
It's usually 200mb or less
I was imitating what Mac OS has done in Mojave.
They now have a dynamic wallpaper that changes with your time of day.
Oh?
I usually use a RAM disk for all my applications.
I hate delays when working.
Use all the RAM you want.
Huh.
It's cheap.
I don't have fancy hardware
if you saw the neofetch you'd see what I'm working with
It's worth getting something good if it's your workstation.
Any little delay can slow you down when working.
I've got a $200 laptop with 2GB, I don't have much money
Program something and sell it.
I'm working on something currently
Ah, okay.
It'll provide me with enough funds to build a nice PC
