but what if pisses wants to trigger protests (eg goinng in full ordo iuris agenda)
*at this point even konfederacja its progressive*
i've read this and idk what would happen
* grodzki will surely block it (30 days)
* opposition've morethan enough time to make wild rallies
* the *czarrny protest* bloc will gladly use this 30 days (buy mask, and get ready for the fight)
*we're considering that despiting quarantine chilean fires're still alive*
*vote pis this time*
i don't know what is likely to happen
also fuck giertych and his metamorphosis into a liberal "civil rights defender"
a decade (or more) ago he was one of the worst homophobes, openly wanting to jail LGBT people
after a failed coalition with pis, he figured out that he's dead to kaczynski and his followers and began to suck up to po
he's still a disgusting homophobe, he's currently just kind of hiding it a bit while pretending to be a liberal
but @zgadnij for u what would happen with this law
1 use it as fuel (u might enact russian style laws coz muh coronachan)
2 ignore it (hey it might be too triggering and oppositionmight get free fuel)
and... whatcha think about this statement (he is still a lunatic... but whatcha think about this statement)
imo pis will try to abuse the current situation as much as possible
they'll try to push whatever they can while people can't legally protest
and... what if *the liberal part of society* decides to protest (in chile they've violated quarantine / in france quarantine've wiped yellow vests)
the liberal part of polish society is an ever decreasing minority
with an underrepresentation of young people
a group of people scared of coronavirus
so a blitzkrieg might work
i'm sure that's what they're going for
honestly it's too late for a peaceful protest
the society is _not yet_ fractured and uncomfortable enough for an actual civil war or anything like that
plus keep in mind that, like, those of my generation who decide to stay in poland are predominantly conservative
most of my polish lgbt friends around my age have left poland for good
very few bother to vote abroad
i don't blame them
it's very hard not to be apathetic about the political situation in a country you seem to care less and less about with each passing day
about the country you're _unfortunately_ from, in which you've always been treated as a second-class citizen
and it's not just young LGBT people who feel this way, plenty of others do, too
there won't be a civil war, _who_ would be there to fight against the conservatives? for what? for this romantic and naive idea of a country where your rights would be respected? how likely is it that poland will ever become such a place? it's hard to fathom, so why risk everything if you can just move abroad
any pushback against pis shaping poland to their will in non-constitutional ways will only be symbolic
those stupid and naive enough to potentially fight for this piece of shit country are already on the side of prawo i sprawiedliwosc
all the others are tired and demotivated by the last couple of years (if not 2 decades) of their political impotence
tl;dr to quote @Swiss Dave fuck poland
> plus keep in mind that, like, those of my generation who decide to stay in poland are predominantly conservative
@zgadnij so ... expect a chile2 might be impossibl
unless something unexpected happens that will significantly worsen the material conditions of the _majority_ of poles
like food shortages, fuel shortages etc
