Finally, cheap gas

2020-04-20 16:35:09 UTC

Gas will be cheaper than its worth

2020-04-20 16:35:27 UTC

It'll be cheaper to drive down the block than it is to walk

2020-04-20 16:35:28 UTC

We might see lower than '99 gas prices

2020-04-20 16:35:46 UTC

lowest I ever saw was 95 cents

2020-04-20 16:36:17 UTC

Adjusted for inflation?

2020-04-20 16:37:01 UTC

Im not doing econ nerd calculations on my memories

2020-04-20 16:38:57 UTC

average gas price in 1970 was 36 cents, which is roughly $1.72 today

2020-04-20 16:39:29 UTC

Gas, the original shitcoin

The oil price thing is some technical issue with the front month May2020 future expiring today and everyone rolling to the June2020 contract. The true price is likely closer to where the June contract is trading, around $22.

And likely that with the physical oil for May going to have to be delivered and there is literally no where to store it so no one wants it.

2020-04-20 16:54:16 UTC

Russia is pumping and pumping and pumping

2020-04-20 16:54:22 UTC

So is Saudi Arabia

2020-04-20 16:55:26 UTC

There was some specific crude oil contract in the U.S. used for asphalt that was trading at a negative price recently because literally no one had room to store it and it had to be delivered per the contracts so people were getting paid to take the oil.

You thought $0 was the bottom for commodities? Think again!

So true

2020-04-20 16:57:37 UTC

I remember reading about some Oil in NORTH Dakota that was priced at -.50 cents before being corrected at $1.50 a barrel

2020-04-20 16:58:22 UTC

Maybe that was the one I was thinking of. It was some dirtier crude in the U.S. that mainly gets used for asphalt.

2020-04-20 16:59:53 UTC

Looks like there's even some oil in Canada that's at negative currently too
