I liked it a lot myself, too
@Shekel Stealer Have you played this one before? If not, I think you might find the premise and narrative interesting.
@MicMac I actually bought it in a steam sale a while back. But I've yet to play it
The story / aesthetics/ philosophy / and puzzles (if you're into puzzles) are top notch.
I'll check it out next time I'm looking for something new to play
Play foxhole
Good artillery simulator
I love foxhole.
synthetik
best methadone rampage simulator on the market
Oh fuck. Yes I have played it. I played it during my Libertarian phase. My nation state was one of the top nations for gambling and drug use. So I basically just recreated my home-state, Nevada.
any fans of tactical rpgs like fire emblem or crusader kings?
I like Fire Emblem but the modern "woke" games I avoid. Never played Crusader Kings.
Crusader kings is a great game.
How tf is crusader Kings a tactical rpg
> A role-playing game is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting, or through a process of structured decision-making regarding character development.
Under a lose definition CK2 is a rpg
Even if you stretch the definition of rpg like that, the tactical part is wrong
If anything it's a strategic "rpg"
Not tactical
Age of wonders 3 is a tactical rpg
You can set up flanks and generals
So there's a tactical element
Shut the fuck up ger*an
it certainly is a role playing game
@Dilbert Do-Hop Eh, they're not that bad
To begin with it's just one game and that game is actually pretty good all things considered
The "woke" stuff is pretty much entirely optional, it's not shoved down your throat like in modern Western games
Japs handle progressivism in a way that's slightly more tolerable than when Jews and Westerners do it
The modern games just don't click with me though, it's not shoved down the throat with the LGBT stuff but the anime influence went from slight to being heavily increased.
I did like Echoes, though.
Reasonable
It somewhat shames me to say it but Three Houses is one of the best games I have played in a while
I'm generally a fan of RPGs
I like how in this game character customization is so open. You can set up your team however you want and give your units whatever class you want.
It gives the game replay value, and the enjoyment I got out of this made me want to play more tactical/strategic RPGs
