In defense of National Review, this article is actually anti-immigration and the title is sarcastic, he's criticizing the agricultural lobby's support for immigration
Obviously
They’re actually not terrible on immigration
Krikorian is generally restrictionist
As much as I hate foreigners, from my own experience I have to say that native agricultural workers tend to suck dick. They aren't used to such demanding work and tend to just give up. Anyone actually good enough for the job can easily work somewhere else. Like even if the employment office send you workers for free, they are still a loss because they are so fucking stupid and lazy they can't even do basic work. That's why so many farmers rely on seasonal workers.
```They aren't used to such demanding work and tend to just give up```
Ye, this is because we've relied on foreign labor for so long, so people dont want this work, so we then rely on more foreign labor
This is why you need government sponsered work allocation in some instances
Can't find a job? Ask where the nation needs you at the moment.
Let's say we have a shortage of native workers in farming for instance, or perhaps in office jobs.
Ask a government agent for firms requiring native workers to fill the gaps and they'll give you a list of firms.
If you're poor and already can't qualify for benefits, it is better than starving (working manual labor I mean).
The issue is we've built a system of bailouts and welfare for everyone but the middle class.
Absolutely but me personally, I do not want to have to deal with the bottom 5% of the workforce. They are just so retarded I'd rather shoot then teach them. Like they don't want to work at all.
Yes fuck I'd abolish all welfare programs in an instant. When "poverty" doesn't hurt, why leave it.
University is long, drawn out, and very much gay
UTI fills the void quite nicely
(Universal Technical Institute)
Automotive educational firm that teaches techs and mechanics
18 months of training and you get a certification
i think the cost is like 2-3k dollars
Mhm.
We need more of that
We need more people within the trade's especally in Canada.
Welders, Automotive, and of course Carpenters.
*carpentry* is very much a high paying and great job to have.
You can go any were with carpentry even to different country's if the demand or pay are high enough.
I am from germany, we have trade school here for every job you can imagine. There are still people who fail that and to add insult to injury those people get forced into places by diversity quotas where they should no be.
Jeez.
They should leave and take there expertise some were else.
That's what most people who have a trade degree do, they usally head to Eastern europe or work in Asia.
And very rarely they work in the middle east for big Cash.
As a non retarded person who wouldn't mind doing hard labour for a few years, at least in the UK its incredibly difficult to find a route into that in a system which is designed to suck you up into university
