If you are having trouble with the difficulty level, there is a soft difficulty setting in that you can farm souls pretty quickly and just level up

The game is really as hard as you want it to be

The game is cryptic on purpose because you have to read all of the items

But other people figure it out for you

I don't think that should be a thing

I would accept harder bosses

like the run to the Smelter Demon

DS 3 was really straightforward

In terms of where to go and what to do

well yeah

I had a friend "figure" out the game

I don't find that aspect fun

he read all the item descriptions

like especially if there is platforming involved

the platforming is anus

the platforming is truly awful
