You Bring up some good points but you start going into libertarian' retard territory in the last part of it. I would be totally in favor of a wealth tax for example and using that revenue to incentive family formation. Unless you think all government action is "Taking money at the barrel of the gun" then there is no cure for that thought process.

Most of the wealth of billionaires etc. who are supposed to pay isn't liquid but invested in stocks
If you force a wealth tax on them they'll be forced to sell many of those stocks at once which would lower the value of them

So you might have a billionaire pay 20 million by selling 50 million in stocks

Bezos would be a good example of someone who would be crippled by this

@RIP Skelly I totally agree, government can be a force for good that can push our own ends. @Mr. Nessel I was just using a tax example. Just making the point id be fine raising taxes on the wealthy to boost services that would benefit the population like Child Benefits, Infrastructure, etc

I support that too, however it's quite the step to have a wealth tax rather than just raising income taxes
