I think a lot of what we do focuses on trying to take a realistic view of society and human limitations. If they're assuming that's all meaningless, then it's natural that they will seem stupid to us and we seem mean-spirited to them.
Of course we want to change the world to make it good, though along the way we realize human beings are ultimately human beings and that we can’t make our societies perfect
From our perspective, what is going on rn, the moral decadence, the loss of religion, the loosing of sin by the hand of the authorities, the slow death of our people, that’s all *evil*
We want to ultimately do away with that evil or at least discourage it to the best of our ability, but we acknowledge that we can’t shape the human condition
If they want to think of themselves as omnipotent, then they don't seem stupid, they are stupid. Stupid and immature. A large part of growing up is learning your limitations, and apparently, they never have
It makes sense we'd sound evil to them, however
Heres the truth
Stop reporting happenings
instead
enginneer them
Lefties are just rationalizing their psycological need for a perfect world and faith in human enlightenment in the face of the harshness of reality
@rock on, Ānanda
yeah
We can play amature psycology all day
@NeoFuturist Literally heres an idea for bogaloo
Get the entireity of red washington to secede and legally join Idaho to split washington in 2
antifa riots
fun begins
What?
the blue parts of Washington are seperated from each other
cutting them off is legal
as long you aren't doing anything illegal, go for it
The left are a result of a misunderstanding of reality based on decadence of the Burghers as well as a rejection of proper metaphysics
Guys heres an idea
run as a democrat in Virginia
try to pass terrible policies while telling red county commissioners to join west virginia
I call it Main Virginia
btw I'm listening to the Zero Books premiere "Bernie 😭 " right now. There's an interesting if stupid moment. The guest is this fellow Chris Cutrone who has supposedly flirted with Trumpism in the past. Of course, he hasn't really flirted with it, and you can tell that because if he had, everyone on the left would be mad at him. But I guess he's written something about Trump with some modicum of nuance, plus he says Tucker Carlson reads him.
So, this Cutrone person says that at the same time, rightists are flirting with Marxism and then he adds "Of course, on the right, people can talk about the whole range of ideas. That's because the right is not so motivated by ideas. They're opportunists, unlike the left, which is driven by ideas."
basically, trying to spin his own inability to consider & discuss non-approved ideas as a virtue
The right is just opposition to the left
to treat the fact that a broad coalition is ideologically made of what it coalesces around is the mistake being made there
This is part of the frequent leftist talk of republicans holding contradicting positions
Leftists don't even have a coherent view of human nature. In practice they don't even consider essentialist viewpoints but that's mostly because of their personality and them being true believers of sort in the current trajectory of the world
They're not even utopians
see
I said it again
megacities are a plague
@Imperial J. Yay Heres an idea
