russia counts ww2 tanks in their numbers

2020-04-21 16:13:02 UTC

Which most cold war era tanks can easily

2020-04-21 16:13:06 UTC

thats assuming the enemy doesent run out of ammo

2020-04-21 16:13:20 UTC

Not an issue

2020-04-21 16:13:24 UTC

it is

2020-04-21 16:13:48 UTC

during the libyan war in 2011
France run out of bombs and begged the americans to help them lmoa

2020-04-21 16:14:00 UTC

If Russia went to war first of all it would take a lot of time to get all those old tanks operational again and secondly they'd suffer from a high casualty rate

2020-04-21 16:14:09 UTC

They'd burn through the old ones pretty fast

2020-04-21 16:14:22 UTC

>are you assuming the russian would care about casualties

2020-04-21 16:14:23 UTC

lmao

2020-04-21 16:14:31 UTC

no they wont

2020-04-21 16:14:35 UTC

Material casualties, not men

2020-04-21 16:14:38 UTC

burn out anytime soon

2020-04-21 16:14:48 UTC

Russia isn't what it used to be regarding tanks

2020-04-21 16:15:02 UTC

bro where are you getting this shit from lmao

2020-04-21 16:15:15 UTC

you dont have the faintest clue what are you talking about

2020-04-21 16:16:47 UTC

Cold war era tanks won't do well given how much armour penetration etc. we have access to now
And Russia can't really replace them with up to date stuff

2020-04-21 16:16:57 UTC

xD

2020-04-21 16:17:09 UTC

this is just hilarious

2020-04-21 16:18:26 UTC

You realize how much of a difference it makes what type of armour you use right?
Most of our stuff goes through cold war era stuff like a hot knife through butter
That's why in Iraq Soviet equipment didn't really hold up that well

2020-04-21 16:18:36 UTC

arabs

2020-04-21 16:18:40 UTC

bottom text

2020-04-21 16:18:46 UTC

Not just that

2020-04-21 16:19:12 UTC

Tanks are good because they're hard to destroy but what's the point of a tank with outdated armour

2020-04-21 16:19:33 UTC

This is btw the reason why Russia is taking an interest in technicals

2020-04-21 16:20:06 UTC

also iraqi army never recovered from the 1991 war
and they were in terrible shape
since the iran iraq war
they used practice ammuntion vs modern american tanks
they had no air support
no helicopters
no modern atgms
no trained infantry
just a rag tag militia with obsolete weaponry

2020-04-21 16:20:07 UTC

Russia doesn't have a cold war military budget anymore and its economy is roughly comparable to Italy's or that of the Benelux countries

2020-04-21 16:20:32 UTC

BUDGET

2020-04-21 16:20:38 UTC

AHAHAHAHA

2020-04-21 16:21:09 UTC

It's an issue if not only you can't afford to buy your most modern tanks but have a hard time updating older ones

2020-04-21 16:21:15 UTC

It's not a joke

2020-04-21 16:21:22 UTC

so because of budget russia will lose against the on existing armies of france, germany and Uk

2020-04-21 16:21:26 UTC

hahaha

2020-04-21 16:22:19 UTC

italy has mothballed all its tanks
they barely have 60 operational
germany has 300 tanks
france and uk have 200 tanks
thats assuming they manage to deploy them all to poland

2020-04-21 16:22:26 UTC

lmao

2020-04-21 16:22:51 UTC

Sure Germany doesn't have as many tanks as Russia right now but the ones we have are better, we have a large military industrial complex which exports tanks and can put out a lot more

2020-04-21 16:23:04 UTC

you should listen more to your armchair genrals in the west
even they acknowlege NATO would get crushed ina conventional gound war

2020-04-21 16:23:18 UTC

I seriously doubt that

2020-04-21 16:23:30 UTC

of course you do xD

2020-04-21 16:23:33 UTC

I'm more concerned about China tbqh

2020-04-21 16:23:42 UTC

yes
