During the recent block leave, I was doing Brigade Staff CQ duty. Our BDE Com, Colonel, drops in. 30 minutes later, 1 Star comes by.

Cool guy. He just dropped in to ask us to collect soldiers not on leave and those living in the barracks.

Told us a 23 a day story. Soldier committed suicide in barracks during Xmas and wasnt found until two weeks later.

Worse day in the army I was on CQ and a soldier tried to commit suicide durring lunch hour

That's why with my training as Behavioral Health, I want to be able to help soldiers.

With my NCO, I'm to act like an NCO (not like a real one but the qualities and holding myself accountable).

So it's weird being around other lower enlisted sometimes. I've seen a different world under him.

A lot of soldiers here don't get that kind of experience.

It's the usual e4 talking smack about Army and soldiers follow. NCOs aren't that good.

My second tour was a INF Div HHBN, and a bunch of PVTs out of the school house that I got for "Training them up" are now NCOs

That's good stuff to hear. I have to hit NCO ASAP because my current NCOIC will PCS sometime soon after our deployment to Germany this year. Taking on his responsibilities.

I know this guy who was at AIT was medboard with something like 90% disability for mental issues. He said he will get something around 2k dollars from the Army every month.

He was stuck there for two years
