Came back into the office from the latrine and the CW4 was sitting on the suply cabinet "(Name Rank) watch this, it'll be great!" as a SSG was standing over a PFC working

2019-01-10 02:29:46 UTC

Lmao. I remember meeting my friend's father in law during AIT. He is a CW5 and in uniform.

2019-01-10 02:30:01 UTC

He was working at the BAMC in Ft Sam too

2019-01-10 02:30:10 UTC

Steelbar? must have gotten a lot of respect.

2019-01-10 02:30:15 UTC

Hell yea.

2019-01-10 02:30:33 UTC

I've talked with him a second time on my friend's face chat. Dude scares me even though he was chill AF

2019-01-10 02:30:53 UTC

He works with his long time friend a full bird COL

2019-01-10 02:32:04 UTC

Our CWs were cool with me. I spotted one of my old ones on my contact list, and she has one of those snap chat dog face overlays on her contact picture now.

2019-01-10 02:32:38 UTC

I had a CW2 worried about the "white stuff" (my itch cream) during lunch today lmao. He thought I was sick or something.

2019-01-10 02:32:44 UTC

During the recent block leave, I was doing Brigade Staff CQ duty. Our BDE Com, Colonel, drops in. 30 minutes later, 1 Star comes by.

2019-01-10 02:33:06 UTC

uht oh.

2019-01-10 02:33:27 UTC

Cool guy. He just dropped in to ask us to collect soldiers not on leave and those living in the barracks.

2019-01-10 02:33:48 UTC

Told us a 23 a day story. Soldier committed suicide in barracks during Xmas and wasnt found until two weeks later.

2019-01-10 02:34:43 UTC

Worse day in the army I was on CQ and a soldier tried to commit suicide durring lunch hour

2019-01-10 02:35:27 UTC

That's why with my training as Behavioral Health, I want to be able to help soldiers.

2019-01-10 02:35:44 UTC

I got a good NCO to teach me.

2019-01-10 02:36:01 UTC

Good CPTs and civilian contractors

2019-01-10 02:36:14 UTC

Never made E-5 but I tought soldiers to be NCOs

2019-01-10 02:37:00 UTC

With my NCO, I'm to act like an NCO (not like a real one but the qualities and holding myself accountable).

2019-01-10 02:37:24 UTC

So it's weird being around other lower enlisted sometimes. I've seen a different world under him.

2019-01-10 02:37:51 UTC

A lot of soldiers here don't get that kind of experience.

2019-01-10 02:38:18 UTC

It's the usual e4 talking smack about Army and soldiers follow. NCOs aren't that good.

2019-01-10 02:39:25 UTC

My second tour was a INF Div HHBN, and a bunch of PVTs out of the school house that I got for "Training them up" are now NCOs

2019-01-10 02:41:09 UTC

That's good stuff to hear. I have to hit NCO ASAP because my current NCOIC will PCS sometime soon after our deployment to Germany this year. Taking on his responsibilities.

2019-01-10 02:41:45 UTC

Good luck with the board

2019-01-10 02:42:25 UTC

My SGT and I are the only enlisted soldiers in the entire brigade's clinic.

2019-01-10 02:42:38 UTC

Two CPts and some civies that's it.

2019-01-10 02:42:49 UTC

It's a lot to take on.

2019-01-10 02:42:55 UTC

A mere PV2

2019-01-10 02:43:22 UTC

I was a terminal SPC.

2019-01-10 02:43:33 UTC

Terminal?

2019-01-10 02:44:09 UTC

I ended up MEDBOARDed

2019-01-10 02:44:25 UTC

Aww shit

2019-01-10 02:44:52 UTC

"Lottery ticket" non-combat disability injury.

2019-01-10 02:45:35 UTC

I don't know much about MEDBOARD but you get compensation from the Army?

2019-01-10 02:45:53 UTC

VA Claim was approved before I left post

2019-01-10 02:46:43 UTC

I know this guy who was at AIT was medboard with something like 90% disability for mental issues. He said he will get something around 2k dollars from the Army every month.

2019-01-10 02:46:50 UTC

He was stuck there for two years

2019-01-10 02:47:26 UTC

I wrecked my knees and now use a cane.

2019-01-10 02:47:45 UTC

Last year in uniform the PVTs learned to fear my cane
