Franco was a gay idiot who LARPed as a Falangist for a few years until World War 2 ended when he promptly decided not to pretend anymore and just reformed his state into a despotic style dictatorship with no clear cultural or economic policy to speak of. Instead, all there was was Franco. All within Franco. Nothing outside of Franco. He then LARPed as a monarchist who refused to restore the monarchy until after he was dead but meanwhile whored out to the United States for economic aid which lead to the Miracle of Spain. That is not good governance or rulership, that is a sacrifice of national sovereignty for political gain.
