Seriously though, I don't like any form of identity politics. from either side. soon as you start saying the (((X))) did it its a big turn off for me
unless there is actual documentation, im not arogant enough to think I know everything
yeah. dont blame jews for being thrown out for every civilication ever existed.
its not their fault...
So I'm just going to throw an idea out there. The models for the rate at which climate change is happening can certainly be wrong, our understanding of science is not infallible and climate science is presumably a complicated field. But I don't think the theory that increased greenhouse gas emission caused by human activity can lead to warmer global temperatures is necessarily wrong. And even still we apparently have an acceleration of the icecaps melting. Putting the data and its interpretations aside, wouldn't green initiatives be a good thing anyway in terms of air quality and ending dependence on fossil fuel in the first place
Same happened to the mormons for the same reason @Jasse - because they spend internally before externally. keeping the money 'in house' where possible
I judge it based on behavior. If the Climate changers believed what they were saying, we'd be seeing them act much more extremely. The fact they don't really change their own lifestyles says a lot to me.
@Bones look at historic Greenland. It used to be green when the Vikings settled it
@grant I'd be willing to bet you that a ton of fat people don't want to be fat but still don't change their lifestyle to actually do anything about it
then climate changed and the Scandanavian Vikings abandoned it as uninhabitable
globe have been warming after last ice age, but its not becaues human activity.
I don't know a lot of Fat people demanding to Control what I eat and how I exercise though.
fun face: did you know more people have died because of Solar panels than nuclear power?
A lot of that is due to Nuclear being so tightly regulated though
I'm not opposed to nuclear power <:moon2SHRUG:242665102128447498>
nah its like the wage gap - its statistical manopulation. Solar soesnt kill anyone, people die falling off the rooves
@Jasse they comunised actually, it was called the united order or united way i cant remember. Misurri had a death order out on them because the locals didnt like that they wouldnt trade (thats an over simplification to be sure)
and I know thats not how you spell the state but it escapes me
so yeah they created own community.
thats just little bit different than controlling nations money supply.
Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong, I was under the impression that most green initiatives were targeted at industries where you can affect the most change. Funding battery research, financial incentive for electric cars, building more sources of clean energy, etc. in order to reduce fossil fuel dependence
oh for sure but most resentment to Jews is that they spend money with other Jews first, everyone else 2nd
I am pretty pro nuclear. I wish people would understand the tech more.
If someone was cleaning the roof at a nuclear power plant, you bet that there would be a ton of safety harnesses. They're well aware that death would be reported as "Nuclear power kills man at plant".
I'm extremly pro Nuke power
Does the UK use nuclear power?
yeah pro nuclear. best and cleanet way.
What's the attitude towards it there?
and given what China is doing to the earth to mine the rare earth elements so should all the Greens
until some day we make fusio energy.
Yeah they're having a problem with disposing of old solar panels in the US because the lead.
Not reported on much though
its not fashionableto report renewables as anytthing but perfect sadly.
'Member real Journalism?
This is why I'm Pro @Timcast I don't align with him politically on tons of stuff but at least he has researched his position so knows why he likes the policies he does
yellow journalism has always been a thing, its just much more prevalent and easy to find now that we have the internet and social media
yellow?
It's an old term for sensationalist/exaggerated journalism
ahh so Alex Jones type thing. half entertainment half news
Yeah, and to a lesser extent some of the more mainstream news sources like msnbc or breitbart
and I dont mean that as an insult to infowars
these days its also CNN and the BBC
