So how did voting independent fix the Trump "issue"?
actually it hurts everyone and it didnt but at least i voted for change
beats not voting at all
But what have you contributed in real concrete terms, to US politics
What actual change have you made?
dont need to do anything else because everything e;se starts with the vote
Lol
"I voted, and it didn't work, so I'm absolved of any action for the next 4 years"
@Beemann For the third party arguement I'll point to Brexit. It was the UKIP that wanted a ref. They didn't get anywhere near power but still got their one and onnly policy coz the main party was scared of losing.
Third party votes do matter.
For the third party argument I'll point to most Canadian provinces, where 2 parties fight for power and the third gets an opposition seat
2 left wing parties, generally
either way if you dont vote you dont have a right to complain about whos in office becasue you had a chance to change it with your vote
What was your % chance of putting Johnson or Stein in instead of Trump/Hillary?
slim to none but it doesnt matter beats not voting at all
@Beemann It's not about putting a thrid party in power, it's about sending a message to shift the convocation.
and not contributing to society with our most important right
It was none, and what did you shift the conversation to?
Who is talking about Stein or Johnson right now?
i was just using as a example of how to contirbute to voting
my cousin wrote down harambe becuase he didnt like either canidates
but he still voted
That's not a vote
And nobody looks at those, they just get put in a pile
Ignored like non votes
At best you'll get some buzzfeed shit
better then sittting on your ass at home and not voting at all lol
You've failed to explain how
You've just held it as self evident
btw 30 thousand people voted that way
And it makes no difference that they did
It has almost the exact same effect as not voting
and you i have provided plenty you just dont want to hear becuase im guessing you are one of those people who doesnt vote
No, you've just said it's the only way to change things
And then when asked what you changed you backed up to "well at least I voted"
becuase who you vote for puts the changes in place
No, who gets the majority of votes does, and only if they're on the ballot
But you defended spoiled ballots, and losing votes, which don't do that
becuase you are still contributing to the voting process
