maybe he should have spent more time on his game lmao
Tbh the issue with lawbreakers is that it came late to the party and was in a largely casual fad but was trying to be esports
oof
esports: a joke that makes waaaaay too much money. mostly through not paying the players
You say a joke, but its super popular in the Asias
It makes money on a few games that already had competitive backing
It's become an actual gold rush- almost nobody hunting for it gets rich, but the people who help you get to the site are doing well
Esports makes me think about that South Park wow episode. Lol
Why?
Esports players actually do a lot with their time. You get diminishing returns after a point so often they'll only play a few hours per day
A lot of Quake players were really into sports - kept in shape since their job involved sitting around
@taekahn it just does. I don’t know. I thought the episode was funny.
It was a great episode
We can't entrust the sword of 1k truths to a noob
When i think of an esports player, this is legit what i see.

@taekahn I literally have never watched esports.
It's not worth unless you're interested in the game
That’s true with any sport. Lol
I know some people who don't play but do watch sports
Ok
Sometimes you get great shit, sometimes someone annoys the fuck out of you and everything is gamerfuel tier cringe
Commentary for normal sports is crap too.
I’d rather watch the game hear the crowd and think for myself.
I don’t care about every players sally sob story.
I don't mind hearing about the competitors
ESPN stands for emotional sports producing network. No lie.
It's more an issue of
You know how you can watch film awards and even if it's a bunch of elitist bullshit there's usually decent production values and a sense of respectability (Post Trump Stress Disorder aside)? And then you watch the game awards and it's an absolute gong show every time?
It's kinda like that, but for tournaments
Now there's some where they do a good job for sure, but it's a hit and miss sector
Lots of misses though. Lol
But yeah Evo is often fairly entertaining, if a bit of a gong show, and I used to watch Quake Live tourneys even though I'm a CPM player because the firing angles are still legit
Cool. I have no idea what you are referring to. Lol. I mostly play Pokémon and some other Nintendo games.
Are computer games expensive? I’ve only played two: math blaster and red alert 2.
I may as well be a boomer.
Depends on what you're trying to play. Between sales and lack of extra platform fees they're usually cheaper
Way cheaper than Nintendo games as well since they actually drop in price ;)
I like red alert 2, but the computer I had for it got too old and I now have a MacBook. 😩.
Good gaming laptops seem pretty expensive too.
don't get a gaming laptop, get a desktop
Desktop is really better?
