I feel the problem is we've made ourselves into what we are

we have ot have such a big military cause everyone expect us to jump in and help no matter what

we need to move away from that

slowly and carefully

liberals and nationalist have put us in a bad place

I think the best solve we have

is to withdraw from as many active warzone as we can

cut military funding by 10% yearly til it's manageable

and keep our military well funded and big without over spending

for us kinda but i am not in the us

our funding should probably go down in military
