if you have a rented car, i'd leave it parked somewhere. at least in nyc you can take the subway or walk most everywhere (i'd avoid a taxi unless you want pay out the ass)

Last time i was in NYC traffic was just congested if i remember correctly

also, tip for walking in nyc: watch the cars as much as the traffic lights, and do NOT fight right of way with a taxi. taxi always has the right of way, even when it doesn't

all over, Fed monuments, White House, etc. We are missing the gettysburg reenactment by like 2 days :(

I love and retain history stuff...don't know how/I forget just about everything else way to easily

try to hit as many monuments as you can but dont feel obligated

you can walk to most places too
