That’s a shit argument
Who cares
It's shit whether it was written in the past or not
@Missy What is the severity of your mental illnesses?
It was written in the 90's when Captalism seemed like it was going to be Nu Monarchism
so yes it being in the past is completely relevant
I don't really like listing them
But the basic ideas of capitalism are the same
Due to having a birth mom that did a lot of drugs during her pregnancy
They haven’t changed since the industrial revolution
I ended up with quite a lot
But for some reason people tend to think I'm making it up
No idea why
You can still rise as a poor person and become a CEO, that's not monarchism
I take tons of medications, used to attend therapy regularly, and still struggle <:haha:583236087137435659>
thats the exact opposite actually
However if you still want me to list them I can
Capitalism likely opposed Monarchies due to them being a system of inheritance and class whilst Captalism is not.
Captalism fundamentally differs from monarchism in that since
Assuming you meant sense, you are correct
As for inheritance, why would capitalism oppose it
In the US our president could be considered an elective monarch I guess
What are we talking about guys?
Because it's a class of people getting land, money, and a nice job from their forefathers
No he is not a monarch
Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto
A monarch rules for life, usually has his powers ordained by a religion, and would have more power than a president
Ah okay I get it@bink
Captalism is not nu monarchism, because the majority of people who are wealthy got there through hardwork and dedication, not through their forefather's work and money (unless their lucky I guess)
I don't think they meant that he's literally a monarch
Most people get wealthy through inheritance, and from the social connections and upbringing they would have following their birth.
A person could theoretically rise from rags to riches, but that is extremely unlikely.
@bink Unlikely but they can do it
like Bill Gates
Uhhhh
He had a wealthy background
There is a large amount of self made wealthy people
@bink Why do you degrade the amount of self-made wealthy people out there?
There are many of them
I never degraded them, I pointed out that Bill Gates had a wealthy and privileged background. That said, I do not hold any particular respect or admiration for wealthy people.
