Funny he goes to bed the moment we'd hit common ground.
Leaving on a high note
more like leaving after taking a shit in the living room.
*shrug*
Putting a video, and then dropping the mic is kind of a dick move.
But yeah, Justice?
It can easily be looked at as punishment, losing your job.
I mean, if I was found responsible for a construction accident, and my ability to operate heavy machinery were revoked as a result
I could look at it as punishment
but it's just, because it prevents me from causing further damage.
I say we should implement the starship trooper method, ie the more authority/rank you have, the greater is your punishment for fucking up
well, only if you fucked up using that heav machinery
lol dude, thanks for the chuckles, gooooooood nite. just a vid to make your own context i guess. im done bickering
nite, all
gnite
As an FAA licensed drone pilot, if I am found negligent in an accident with my drone, I may lose my license.
It'd suck
and it'd really feel like punishment
but it's really not.
However, if I got locked up for 10 years because my drone lost power in the wrong spot and caused serious injury or something
Absolutely context matters.
In ALL of this context matters.
Let's go tell scotts
There absolutely are problems with the police system.
I think the main issue I have with Poptarts' outlook is that he blames the waiter for the Head Chef's menu, if you follow my metaphor.
lol guess im going to have to laugh myself to sleep now
Basically, to blame the police for the laws they enforce isn't addressing the problem.
"just following orders" ... where have we heard that before
that's not what he said
It both was and wasn't.
There's an element of it in there.
^
I'll be fair on that point.
okay.... you have made my point for me then. thank you
Yeah, when the chief orders the Berkeley police force to stand down
That's pretty damned fucked up.
i think the point was more, people are going to follow orders, and you should go after who's giving the orders if you want things to actually change, because the people following the orders don't hold any actual power
"just following orders" was something that was said *after* the one giving the orders was dead
that last sentence...
Needs correction, I think...
