Yea the issue with tap being safe comes down to infrastructure

Most of the infrastructure from the I think 60s onward is cheap and doesn’t last

It's probably easier to convince everyone to build a subway system when they don't have one than it is to shut down the current one, rip it all out, and add a new one.

Like it's really hard to maintain infrastructure in some former mining town past a mountain range and wedged down into a valley halfway across the state/province

I live in an area with only 3 roadways north and only one is an actual interstate highway

We are currently expanding that interstate

Adding lanes

It’s highly inconvenient for drivers and has led to an increase of accidents

We have a train system but it’s not that convenient

We used to have trollies way back but not anymore

At least in the cities

Our public transit system hired Morgan Freeman and Seth Rogan to do voiced promos despite going bankrupt and then building an expensive and kinda worthless pass card system

While I think adding a tram system in my area would be a waste of tax dollars I appreciate that they are at least starting to expand the roads in some areas

I guess you're right. Theres no specific demographic in Sweden that I have heard of that's been known to set fire to cars. Nope none at all
