(hate saying that he has clout, but 65million subs is a hell of a number)

2018-09-18 17:00:13 UTC

Pewds isn't on their good side, YouTube just knows they can't piss him off so much he jumped to bitchute and helps make them popular

2018-09-18 17:00:29 UTC

ya that is a good point

2018-09-18 17:01:29 UTC

does he do live streams on youtube? im betting he is a twitch guy right? (i dont keep up with too many live streams)

2018-09-18 17:02:11 UTC

You don't need his clout, just the money. So, take a few of these people floating around, like Sargon, Tim, dank, bearing, etc. And get all their supporters to donate to the cause.

2018-09-18 17:03:11 UTC

I wonder if they could refund some of the money easily if the won. Like make the goal to get YouTube to change their practice, set a precedent, and cover the legal fees.

2018-09-18 17:04:11 UTC

Imagine the standard that could set, sueing the large cooperations to change their practices and get you donation refunded out of the corporations pockets

2018-09-18 17:04:29 UTC

We'd no longer need the government to police things like twitter

2018-09-18 17:04:38 UTC

suing people doesnt really work like that

2018-09-18 17:04:50 UTC

you dont sue someone then get to dictate things to them

2018-09-18 17:05:00 UTC

you sue them get money and hope that changes them

2018-09-18 17:05:07 UTC

but they dont have to change

2018-09-18 17:05:14 UTC

and likely will just pay to have the thing go away

2018-09-18 17:05:14 UTC

Depends on what the judge decides really

2018-09-18 17:05:25 UTC

not in civil court

2018-09-18 17:05:59 UTC

the judge can say stuff but there is not really any guarentee in civil court that anything will change legally speaking

2018-09-18 17:06:17 UTC

True, there is not guarantee they will change, but why keep doing something people can successful keep sueing you for?

2018-09-18 17:06:33 UTC

payout vs profit

2018-09-18 17:06:36 UTC

Particularly something as simple to change as "just refund the money"

2018-09-18 17:06:40 UTC

if the payout is lower than the profit

2018-09-18 17:06:47 UTC

they will pay out till they are blue in the face

2018-09-18 17:06:56 UTC

just look at the auto industry

2018-09-18 17:07:02 UTC

they literally made that their jobs

2018-09-18 17:07:03 UTC

lol

2018-09-18 17:07:12 UTC

They are not profiting from this tho, according to the YouTube rep, YouTube donates all the money.

2018-09-18 17:07:27 UTC

They don't keep their share then donate the creators

2018-09-18 17:07:30 UTC

they will still make money off the stream

2018-09-18 17:07:34 UTC

I mean, I guess they get tax right off.

2018-09-18 17:07:38 UTC

they will just donate the donations

2018-09-18 17:07:43 UTC

the advertisement money

2018-09-18 17:07:45 UTC

will be kept

2018-09-18 17:07:53 UTC

if that is higher than the payout

2018-09-18 17:07:57 UTC

they wont budge

2018-09-18 17:08:08 UTC

Yeah, but that's not what you are suing for, it's the superchats.

2018-09-18 17:08:26 UTC

right but yahoo only looks at the profit they make in this case

2018-09-18 17:08:35 UTC

they dont care about the 20 bucks from a superchat

2018-09-18 17:08:59 UTC

you got to look at it from a corporate standpoint. if they take, say 200 bucks out of superchats

2018-09-18 17:09:01 UTC

No, but a lawsuit that can keep happening costing them money over and over for a donated 20 bucks?

2018-09-18 17:09:02 UTC

gets sued

2018-09-18 17:09:06 UTC

and has to pay out 5k

2018-09-18 17:09:11 UTC

just as an example
