Sturgeon has been saying that for years, and the feeling in Scotland was orignally unilaterally against it

2018-10-27 14:13:52 UTC

She lots loads of votes in the General election because she was pushing for a second vote

2018-10-27 14:14:10 UTC

Scotland went Blue in areas held for years by SNP

2018-10-27 14:14:22 UTC

Yeah they did.

2018-10-27 14:15:30 UTC

Continuing to push for it could be political suicide for her

2018-10-27 14:18:12 UTC

Recently SNP voted against the EU withdrawal deal rather unanimously, but there are pretty much no MP's that are happy with the deal as it is in any party

2018-10-27 14:24:42 UTC

Do you think they will have another independence vote?

2018-10-27 14:24:56 UTC

Personally no

2018-10-27 14:25:03 UTC

Because it would be political suicide

2018-10-27 14:25:34 UTC

Sturgeon is hoping that getting on the back of a second Brexit vote will stop her needing to push for it

2018-10-27 14:26:00 UTC

but if that's unsuccessful, I sincerely doubt that they will call for one

2018-10-27 14:26:46 UTC

Or she will, mistaking the current tone of not getting a second Brexit as unanimous and synonymous with the feeling in Scotland

2018-10-27 14:27:29 UTC

I really dislike that woman. The best I've heard her described is 'she doesn't love Scotland, she just really hates the English.

2018-10-27 14:28:14 UTC

She has a very strange view of Scotland, which I think comes from the culture within Edinburgh and to some extent Glasgow

2018-10-27 14:28:53 UTC

It's likee saying the whole west coast is Democrat because of California

2018-10-27 14:29:25 UTC

Yeah I've heard it's like that in the cities.

2018-10-27 14:30:03 UTC

Edinburgh is very popular among students, so its left leaning of course

2018-10-27 14:31:00 UTC

There are a lot of people in remote areas though, and I know some people who live near the border who are Left leaning but would never want to leave the UK

2018-10-27 14:31:32 UTC

But then again, thats only really 2 people so its not saying much lol

2018-10-27 14:32:28 UTC

I take it your from the UK?

2018-10-27 14:32:37 UTC

Yeah, England 😃

2018-10-27 14:32:50 UTC

The best part then.

2018-10-27 14:33:04 UTC

Arguably Wales is prettier in places

2018-10-27 14:33:18 UTC

Although Derbyshire is the best county there is

2018-10-27 14:34:26 UTC

Problem is, is English cities and towns are the ones hardest hit by all the problems that immigration has caused

2018-10-27 14:36:42 UTC

They are yeah. I'm at the ass end of East Angelia. We haven't been hit too hard yet but as soon as you drive inland you notice the difference and it's not like thing are great where I am. I couldn't imagine living in a city where white ppl are the minority.

2018-10-27 14:37:10 UTC

Well I'm from near Birmingham, so I doubt I have to tell you about some of our problems

2018-10-27 14:37:30 UTC

I feel for you mate.

2018-10-27 14:38:06 UTC

Same as Tim feels though, theres nobody actually center or right of center to vote for in the UK anymore

2018-10-27 14:38:22 UTC

Especially in places where smaller parties dont have representatiom

2018-10-27 14:39:21 UTC

I've gotta head out though, but it'd be good to maybe continue the chat sometime 😃

2018-10-27 14:40:01 UTC

Later mate, chat later.

2018-10-27 14:40:20 UTC

Bring in proportional representation 😄

2018-10-27 14:44:27 UTC

Because the Economy was fucked up with single sourcing everything out of china.
The Problem is that there is no other place in the world to make stuff because of supply chain...

2018-10-27 14:44:56 UTC

for electronic devices you need FETs, Capacitors and so on, in China you have everything in a rather smallish area. Nowhere in the World you have that. That is a problem.

2018-10-27 14:45:02 UTC

And only Trump made you realize it.

2018-10-27 14:46:23 UTC

Didn’t all those components used to be manufactured in silicon valley?

2018-10-27 14:48:04 UTC

No, silicon valley is called that because of companys like Intel, nVidia and others residing there

2018-10-27 14:48:42 UTC

Funny thing: Intel is in Commiefornia, AMD in Texas

2018-10-27 14:49:08 UTC

I mean back in the sixties

2018-10-27 14:50:13 UTC

no idea
