Dad was big into computer games so I got to play Doom when it first came out. Plus Duke Nukem.

We had very few console games. Had some of the systems for the multiplayer capability. Had 3 siblings.

most of my friends got either a bootleg NES or a Genesis( the legit one, we've only got pirate carts for it)

basically the hierarchy of gaming went like this (from the bottom) 8Bit bootlegs -> Genesis -> PS1 -> PS2 -> PC

few kids got gameboys and shit, but again, they were the rich kids.

yeah had so many 8bit bootlegs before the atari

there was plenty of drama over those things as it was the common thing here.

one kid in my school promised to lend some badass carts to other kids or someting along those lines

never delivered
