Though largely it depends on if you like single player or multi

Halo 2 and Reach, Gears

I'd take Resistance 1 and 3 over any of those

Xbox live in general has better player

and the first Red Faction...and Red Faction Guerrilla

Though best shooter is Destiny

Though it has really low points

No interest in Destiny at all

Hands down best shooter gameplay period

Highly recommend

Frontlines is another one of hte best console shooters

Far from it. The best modern shooters are the ones that mostly ignore what COD did,. Wolfenstein: The New Order and Doom 2016

and the new Shadow Warrior games

Doom was amazing single player but its multiplayer was pretty throwaway

GoldenEye. CoD is trash

Golden Eye was good for its day but it has aged poorly

very poorly. First FPS I ever played was Halo 2. Then Half Life 2 in the same year.

Halo ruined shooters. They made everything much easier, then everyone wanted to try and copy that playstyle. COD just followed Halo's lead.

The Halo stuff like regenerating health, having a shield, made sense for that game. Because super soldier in the far future. CoD thought that was a great idea because it was so popular, and they decided to copy it.
