You are correct in that none of Trumps base cares but that is not what will win elections. You have to seek the support of the undecided. His base isn’t going away, but if he doesn’t have that other group in 2018 or 2020 we are in trouble.

And my county is one of those mixed counties, although it voted for trump it was almost a 52/48 margin
There is no doubt that there is a false narrative in MSM. But the fact is in any election you need more than your base to win.
