Ultimately the Jesuit Order was constructed to bring the Protestants back into the fold of the Catholic Church through any means possible.
Unfortunately, this has gone from being one of the most aggressive of the Church's orders to pandering to the lowest common denominator. Instead of making Protestants Catholics, it now makes Catholicism more Protestant to create this false ecumenism.
