2018-09-03 03:40:25 UTC

Not now @fsmetal not when they and Elon Musk are so close to sentient sex dolls a d gundams

2018-09-03 03:41:44 UTC

Canada is a far greater threat with Trudeau and its liberal streak than Japan with its anime and conservative streak

2018-09-03 03:42:38 UTC

They even remain a thorn in China's side for us via the Senkaku Islands

2018-09-03 03:43:02 UTC

Much like Israel vs the rest of the middle east

2018-09-03 05:59:36 UTC

>Implying gundams And mechs are good at all.

2018-09-03 06:10:54 UTC

Except not all mechs are giant and mechs can move through terrain other vehicles couldnt

2018-09-03 06:54:10 UTC

Mechs are pretty useless. They have legs, sure, but they’re even more of a weak spot than tracks. A tracked tank can still fight capably, a mech with a destroyed leg can’t.

2018-09-03 07:42:19 UTC

Point being they have a niche in mobility and possible ease of use

2018-09-03 07:44:40 UTC

They’d be about as useful as the Maus was.

2018-09-03 07:52:23 UTC

When technology gets to a certain point we will have them

2018-09-03 08:17:01 UTC

That’s a drone, not a mech. Also, the same problems still remain. If it’s a legged machine, the legs are massive weak spots.

2018-09-03 08:22:41 UTC

Not meant for direct combat

2018-09-03 08:23:29 UTC

Just like Metal Gear as an example

2018-09-03 08:24:56 UTC

Its abilty to get in more areas makes it versatile for certain purposes

2018-09-03 08:25:55 UTC

Especially transport purposes

2018-09-03 19:26:16 UTC

Front Mission would probably be the most realistic

2018-09-03 19:26:28 UTC

But it's probably never gonna happen

2018-09-03 19:26:32 UTC

Powered armor, perhaps

2018-09-03 19:27:00 UTC

You misspelled Diaoyu by the way

2018-09-03 19:27:39 UTC

Also of note is that Japan is not the bastion of conservative tradition that people think it is.

2018-09-03 19:28:07 UTC

There are gays, there is not much Christianity, there are Muslims also

2018-09-03 19:28:23 UTC

Islam is not banned there no matter what any boomer meme says

2018-09-03 19:31:04 UTC

The SDF do not have robots, they are not that great and are not even a military force anyway

2018-09-03 19:31:21 UTC

They also have no legal claim to the Diaoyu Islands

2018-09-03 19:34:40 UTC

I don’t think of it as a bastion of conservative tradition. I do think of it as a generally highly intelligent, homogenous society with strong immigration laws and largely uncorrupted by abrahamic religion. Islam is not banned there in legal terms but certainly highly ostracized

2018-09-03 19:34:51 UTC

Their economy is going downhill, the government is very rigid and strict, and the suicide rate is incredibly high. The family of those people get fines

2018-09-03 19:35:05 UTC

Japanese women like black men

2018-09-03 19:42:03 UTC

Japan doesn't have the open borders Europe does but to say they have extremely strict immigration isn't entirely true. It's more than China and the Philippines, which may not give citizenship but are very open to SKILLED foreign workers.

2018-09-03 19:42:58 UTC

Fair enough, I’m so used to u.s. immigration laws that everything else seems strict by comparison
