I can't imagine why after the annihilation of the 54th Massachusetts Infantry they threw the officers in a mass grave and when the families asked for the body of Robert Shaw to be returned, the southern government said "we buried him with his niggers"
I will say that slavery was not caused by racism though. In fact racism was caused by slavery as a justification for something so clearly contrary to Christian morals
Generally it was forbidden to own Christian slaves
Of course because there were many Muslim slaves. Not captured civilians in raids, not sold by their own people, but actually prisoners taken in war
Holy fuck was that rage quit number 2?
Did boots quit the server?
Idk Im blocked still so I dont know if I can tag him
@Little Boots#7299
But I definitely cant tag at all
Or see him in the user list
Weird.
Need to get a mod to boot his ass next time
Boots lets you guys get him too worked up.
If you are going to live to debate at least fucking admit when you've been crushed by counter points and evidence
Rags literally proved him wrong in several ways
I swear he is a lib
I like debating a lot too honestly.
I actually didn’t read most of that debate lol
Or literal alt right former dem
I skimmed over some of it.
He maintained that slavery wasnt bad or modern
One of the things I saw, I think it was from Rag, was that the North wasn’t some savior with no issues and neither was the South.
Then rags named like 40 countries that did it
Boots thinks the south did absolutely nothing wrong
Thinks its legal to secede lmao
Slavery was objectively wrong, at lest based on morals enshrined in Judeo-Christian societies.
He said it was accepted back then
Ah. Well I can see why that got out of hand then 🤣
Even though it was really just the south at that point
He was supporting slavery and trying to bring down the north
Slavery in the U.S. was on the way out. The civil war just sped things up.
We never even wanted it
The south barely had slave owners
Slavery or the civil war?
But they required it be put into the constitution
Both technically
But I meant slaves
The first draft lacked the slave stuff
We wanted them free
Ah ok. Yeah, from what I’ve read no one wanted the war. And most people didn’t own slaves.
