It can be stressful but it's fun. I wouldn't go as far as saying we're fascist but when you're on the front line you kinda see things for how they are. Even black cops are like that

No in fact, cops here in nz are pretty chill

Really annoys me though how soldiers in a combat zone have way more roe then cops. Not riffing on cops but seen videos where they approach a house because of a noise complaint and a little 40 pound dog runs out barking like all dogs do and they unload half a clip into them and say they felt threatened. If a soldier sees someone dropping bags in front of their convoy or kids throwing rocks to distract you from the guys about to flank you on the roof waste all of them but you get in trouble

not saying cops should have their hands tied behind their back but should let the military lfex theirs

Not all depts require a psych eval and of course in a small town, you're probably friends with the sheriff or someone high up or related and they get you a job

I remember we warned about German cops while in the Army

apparently for soldiers if they hear you may be doing something illegal they'll beat you first and ask questions later

French cops are totally the opposite. Extremely friendly, but zero tolerance for traffic violations

They'll smile and shake hands with you while you pay the fine

Chinese cops are surprisingly laid back, the secret police are strict but extremely friendly and polite

America is like the only place I know of you can actually go to court and challenge a fine
