yeet

2018-06-19 03:48:05 UTC

Let’s take YouTube for example...

YouTube provides a platform for “creators” to host original content for “curators”

To extract a profit from this model. YouTube must put a wall between the creator and the curator. This allows the creator to be slightly rewarded. The curator as part of a hive mind goes through and filters content for free.

2018-06-19 03:48:19 UTC

This wall is in the form of ads

Think of anyone who got oil money. They will be wealthy forever. Their wealth builds wealth.

2018-06-19 03:48:39 UTC

For generations they will continue to be wealthy

2018-06-19 03:48:51 UTC

and?

2018-06-19 03:48:59 UTC

they represent a small minority

2018-06-19 03:49:20 UTC

If everyone were kings, no one would have ever given a shit what King George said

2018-06-19 03:49:39 UTC

Now let’s take a Blockchain company that does the same thing.

Reward creators in crypto (money made out of thin air)

Reward curators in crypto (money made out of thin air)

Incentivize holding

2018-06-19 03:50:06 UTC

How does this make crypto valuable to anyone outside of this ecosystem?

2018-06-19 03:50:28 UTC

The value of the coin will be attached to the value of the platform that provides the best place to create and curate content

2018-06-19 03:50:38 UTC

then the platform will die

2018-06-19 03:50:42 UTC

Other people will want what we have, and will give us anything we want in return for it.

2018-06-19 03:50:44 UTC

people will go elsewhere to make real money

2018-06-19 03:51:09 UTC

The problem with Crypto currency is that there is no physical entity to represent crypto currnecy.

2018-06-19 03:51:14 UTC

Wanna hop on the voice chat so i can explain it a little better?

2018-06-19 03:51:43 UTC

Oh boy this has turned into a "muh utopism" not everyone can be rich and the poor is a necessary class that must exist. You will never get rid of the poor.

2018-06-19 03:51:53 UTC

Okay @Deleted User let's say the USA had the world's entire supply of sand and we use it as our currency
Does the rest of the world want to deal with us simply because they want some of that sweet, sweet sand we have a monopoly on?

2018-06-19 03:52:05 UTC

Like the Saudis and oil. Of course they're not the only ones, but they do most of the business. So they aren't bothered by the rest of the world despite involvement in terrorism and abysmal human rights

2018-06-19 03:52:46 UTC

Try to understand how Steemit is sustainable and you might get a better understanding of what it actually is

2018-06-19 03:53:09 UTC

The rest of the world would depend on us, who would own 99% of the world's nickel and iron supply, and would bend to our will

2018-06-19 03:53:24 UTC

@Victus Shmmidtt you're right, Christ even said the poor will always be with us

2018-06-19 03:53:24 UTC

and you'd have to be industrious enough to do business with the rest of the world

2018-06-19 03:53:28 UTC

StreemIt is a very valuable platform

2018-06-19 03:53:40 UTC

becausee you won't be abl to do business with anyone in your community

2018-06-19 03:53:47 UTC

you'd literally starve a rich man

2018-06-19 03:54:02 UTC

Crypto is not a replacement for fiat

2018-06-19 03:54:17 UTC

@TheKekscernist then we need a great businessman on the throne to lead us

2018-06-19 03:54:29 UTC

Crypto allows currency designed for the world you are operating in

2018-06-19 03:54:30 UTC

AND THERE IT IS
COMMUNISM

2018-06-19 03:54:38 UTC

If you are going to fund a colonial space program. Those quadrillions will be used up before you know it.

2018-06-19 03:54:39 UTC

kek

2018-06-19 03:55:15 UTC

Those quadrillions will make even more quadrillions. It's definitely not the only source of minerals in outer space

2018-06-19 03:55:20 UTC

^

2018-06-19 03:55:40 UTC

So we need a dystopic galactic economy

2018-06-19 03:55:46 UTC

brilliant

2018-06-19 03:56:03 UTC

Space Capitalism is best capitalism

2018-06-19 03:56:22 UTC

While you're at it, be sure to make yourself valuable, because the only valuable people in that scenario are the ones who can mine asteroids

2018-06-19 03:56:26 UTC

Space colonization will relieve us of a lot of the overcrowding in some parts of the world. I read some article that said it takes about 24 acres of land to produce the quality of life of the average American

2018-06-19 03:56:43 UTC

You'll be sent to mine the asteroids as your day job
Enjoy life

2018-06-19 03:56:59 UTC

Yeah
