yeah but look how much damage has to be endured just to get a non-socialist party viable

2019-01-05 18:20:27 UTC

MERKEL was a fucking conservative. that's how batshit it is

2019-01-05 18:20:35 UTC

no, she is not

2019-01-05 18:20:38 UTC

she's a commie

2019-01-05 18:20:45 UTC

nah she's seen as conservative man..

2019-01-05 18:21:10 UTC

plenty of more left leaning people trying to snatch that EU empire power right up

2019-01-05 18:21:19 UTC

don't get me wrong, I despise her too.

2019-01-05 18:27:57 UTC

nobody in their right mind does, that is somewhat informed about Politics.

2019-01-05 18:28:07 UTC

but then again, I fear that the Problem is that she's a woman...

2019-01-05 19:06:00 UTC

are you from EU? you'd be surprised..

2019-01-05 19:27:45 UTC

Merkel is centre-right as are her Christian Democrats. She'd be a Republican in the States. She's against gay-marriage and is no friend of LGBT. She's not flaming anti-abortion but clearly she's not a supporter of abortion. She's pro-business. She would have been best buddies with Jeb Bush or even Tom Cruz.

2019-01-05 19:30:09 UTC

She's a conservative in the mold of Reagan and Bush I/IIa/IIb. That said, she's not a Jacksonian Populist like Trump.

2019-01-05 19:31:39 UTC

Honestly, if you asked many Senators in the US, they'd say Merkel is a more "proper" conservative than Trump. But of course "liberal" and "conservative" have no real meaning anymore. They're tribes and they mean whatever the groupthink is for each side at the moment.

2019-01-05 19:32:43 UTC

Circus factions. History repeats...

2019-01-05 19:38:05 UTC

yeah it's kind of like macron, he's terrible until you see your other ""options""

2019-01-05 19:38:47 UTC

macron is actually far more free market than those other crazy fucks. it's a total illusion of choice

2019-01-05 19:42:01 UTC

Macron is also centre-right but he's also way to comfortable with the trappings of a presidency. He's an authoritarian by nature and high on the power of one of most potent presidencies in the world with more centralized power than the US President.

2019-01-05 19:42:09 UTC

Merkel is a parliamentarian at heart.

2019-01-05 19:42:32 UTC

More like a Thatcher or a Churchill.

2019-01-05 19:44:38 UTC

he's a globalist

2019-01-05 19:44:42 UTC

total puppet

2019-01-05 19:44:59 UTC

but yes he is actually right leaning when you look at all your great other options comrade

2019-01-05 19:45:07 UTC

Macron and Trump actually have many similarities in that they both believe they know best and would be happy to just command things happen since they have no doubt of their cause. Why waste time and money on debate when the solution is "obvious". That said, despite Macron having enviable parliamentary majorities he has paper-thin public support that is going up in literal flames. Trump has a solid hold of 1/3 of the US electorate but uncertain legislative support.

2019-01-05 19:45:55 UTC

Trump is a populist, Macron is hallucinating that he's a populist

2019-01-05 19:46:42 UTC

Reagan and the Bush Family were globalists

2019-01-05 19:47:18 UTC

WJ Clinton pushed through NAFTA but it was negotiated by Bush I.

2019-01-05 19:49:37 UTC

The US became a net importer during the 1980s (Reagan era)

2019-01-05 19:50:31 UTC

Macron is an absolute textbook globalist

2019-01-05 19:50:46 UTC

which is the single best way to actually identify who these people bend the knee to.

2019-01-05 19:51:17 UTC

right wing left wing bs is just a way to narrow the public discussion so i can choose between national socialism and my beloved international socialism

2019-01-05 19:52:48 UTC

nothing new, Hegelian dialectic in the modern day. polished and shiny

2019-01-05 20:13:07 UTC

but they both belong to the left... wtf

2019-01-05 20:34:41 UTC

shhh

2019-01-05 20:34:47 UTC

don't let them know..

2019-01-05 20:38:33 UTC

Again, I don't even know what "left" and "right" even mean anymore

2019-01-05 20:39:12 UTC

I just think that if Merkel is left than so would be Thatcher, Reagan, and Bush (I and II)

2019-01-05 21:02:34 UTC

I think you guys are ignoring just how open borders Merkel and Macron is. If these leaders had any sort of 'My nation first' attitude to them then I'd agree with you when you say they had any right wing tenancies. However thats not that case, so its completely safe to think of them as 'left winged'

2019-01-05 21:05:17 UTC

If im gonna be real its also ridiculously dangerous to be calling Merkel and Macron 'Center-Right' as it can put people in the mindframe of people who have more right leaning views to be smeared as 'Far-Right' or 'Alt-Right'.

2019-01-05 21:06:41 UTC

left and right is just a "sports team" that you can root for and keep the D&C strategy they have been doing for thousands of years. still going strong

2019-01-05 21:06:58 UTC

For Marcon and Merkel. I see them as far-right economic, and between center and fa left culturally
