I played Atlantic, and Siege on official, then Hybrid, ABCUO, and been scripting on the side for years now

2018-07-09 20:30:06 UTC

Oh NVM I thought you meant the UO server shadowbane, or was it shadow cove

2018-07-09 20:30:19 UTC

I played runescape a bit when I was like 14 but the grinding killed it for me.

2018-07-09 20:30:36 UTC

I did grind a bit to make some decent armor and then I got pvp scammed

2018-07-09 20:30:48 UTC

was walking through a pvp area with a higher level player chatting

2018-07-09 20:31:01 UTC

"nice armor" "thanks I made it" "hey wanna see something cool? punch me"

2018-07-09 20:31:06 UTC

F

2018-07-09 20:31:20 UTC

on that day I learned a valuable lesson

2018-07-09 20:31:26 UTC

same

2018-07-09 20:31:46 UTC

Yeah it was shadowcove

2018-07-09 20:32:30 UTC

UO was a lot like RuneScape but very polished. Pretty much open world pvp and no levels. Everything was skill based, and pretty much every item could be player made. And you could buy houses

2018-07-09 20:33:00 UTC

We hoarded our treasures in little shacks all over the world

2018-07-09 20:33:32 UTC

were there crazy scams and stuff?

2018-07-09 20:33:36 UTC

or was that runescape

2018-07-09 20:33:47 UTC

pretty much the only thing I know about mmos is that some of them get crazy scams

2018-07-09 20:34:06 UTC

or like eve online has assassins guilds who actually do in-game assassinations and stuff

2018-07-09 20:35:44 UTC

Yeah we had that too

2018-07-09 20:35:59 UTC

It was like a real world, except the magic and dragons etc

2018-07-09 20:36:35 UTC

People would sell stuff that looked like rare items but was worthless, they'd find and exploit bugs to scam people during trades

2018-07-09 20:38:15 UTC

If your name was red, it usually meant you were universally feared and respected because you'd murdered at least five innocent people and people would scatter like roaches when they saw you. Or, a big pack of blues (innocent people) would gang up and hunt your ass down

2018-07-09 20:39:35 UTC

On Siege Perilous you only had one character so if you were a blacksmith you were rich as hell and nobody would mess with you because the whole community depended on your skills

2018-07-09 20:46:44 UTC

The game Shadowbane.

2018-07-09 20:47:47 UTC

My dad and his friends did a neat trick in UO. They would put barrels at the red player shrines and then kill them again as they revived and tried to run away.

2018-07-09 20:47:56 UTC

I think mods came in and stopped them lol

2018-07-09 20:48:38 UTC

They also had one guy with really high pickpocketing that would rob people in town and give the goods to a hidden character nearby.

2018-07-09 20:49:02 UTC

People would kill the thief, find he’s empty and think their friend took from them 🤣

2018-07-09 20:50:16 UTC

what did the barrels do

2018-07-09 20:50:51 UTC

Once you revived you couldn’t move through them. So you were forced into a gauntlet of pissed off vigilantes lol

2018-07-09 20:52:00 UTC

adam sandler is a jew

2018-07-09 20:52:04 UTC

why am i not surprised

2018-07-09 20:52:14 UTC

Plus you usually revived without any items. So you were fucked if you tried to fight back.

2018-07-09 20:53:14 UTC

Troll that nigga

2018-07-09 20:59:51 UTC

I can't believe how big #walkaway is getting

2018-07-09 21:00:37 UTC

As in people leaving the left?

2018-07-09 21:01:40 UTC

specifically the Democratic Party

2018-07-09 21:01:53 UTC

Ok that’s what I thought. Wanted to verify.

2018-07-09 21:02:03 UTC

the movement was started by a gay hairdresser, probably not gonna be a major shift right

2018-07-09 21:02:23 UTC

Scott Adams' take on it was really good

2018-07-09 21:02:47 UTC

He cried when Hillary lost, but the left has become insane

2018-07-09 21:02:53 UTC

originally he thought it was going to be nothing, because he expected it was about people changing their minds on policies, which wasn't going to be big
