Depends on where. In Georgia you go through the full 11 week program. Florida, no, and it's usually like 2-3 nights a week

Other states I'm sure have abbreviated or part time academies since reserve usually have a full time job

Well ours are mostly state run. We have the regional academy system for most people, the special academy for the troopers, and a few big agencies like Atlanta have their own

But the curriculum is standardized

So if you went to Savannah or Columbus or Forsyth, it's the same 11 weeks, same books, etc. Everything identical

So apparently AZ reservists go to the same training, it's like 840 hours. I guess that one county has a program to send reserve to a part time academy but it probably takes close to a year to finish
