CIB shows you are a grunt

As well as having your divisions patch and not an off shoot

CIB shows you are a grunt who got hit by an IED, stray mortar or RPG, or got shot at. Doesn't show that you're a grunt.

Medics, artillery, engineers, mp all dont wear the nornal patch

CIB can only be worn by a grunt or SF
