Autism is more like just being socially unadjusted. Having trouble seeing emotions.
Trouble communicating ideas.
Not being intuitive about social norms without instruction or consciously thinking about them.
But the other crap you mentioned is the extreme side of the spectrum.
Forrest Gump would be a low intelligence autist. Ben Afleck in The Accountant would be a high intelligence autist.
