Just know that there is a Southern Catholic culture that does everything y'all do. Guns, horses, fried chicken, trucks, etc. We even have our own newspaper called the Southern Cross.

my dad is hard republican and is a very hard worker (drywaller) and obviously we are a lower middle class family

My dad has always been a mix of authoritarian, libertarian, conservative ideas. Like a libertarian who believes in conscription and the police.
