A king does not become so by his own proclamation but only by virtue of established law. Without the power of the throne no man has the authority to pass a law allowing himself to be king. Also all Christians are bound by the commandments of the Bible which says temporal authority comes from God. Declaring that power to come from Parliament usurps God and casts aside the divine rights of kings, elevating Parliament to the divine position. So claiming kingship granted by Parliament is impossible because Parliament does not have the divine power to grant it in the first place. At the end of the day this means Henry the Fatass was not king.
And I did not need a loicense to type that.
@Deleted User Your lack of loicense proves that you aren't British at least
But lost it at his excommunication
And set himself up as superior to an ecclesiastical authority
In separation from the God which granted legitimacy to kings he then loses that legitimacy
“Bull against Hen. VIII., renewing the execution of the bull of 30 Aug. 1535, which had been suspended in hope of his amendment, as he has since gone to still further excesses, having dug up and burned the bones of St, Thomas of Canterbury and scattered the ashes to the winds, (after calling the saint to judgment, condemning him as contumacious, and proclaiming him a traitor), and spoiled his shrine. He has also spoiled St. Augustine’s monastery in the same city, driven out the monks and put in deer in their place. Publication of this bull may be made in Dieppe or Boulogne in Fiance, or in St. Andrew’s or Coldstream (? “in oppido Calistrensi”), St. Andrew’s dioc., in Scotland, or in Tuam or Ardfert in Ireland, if preferred, instead of the places named in the former bull Rome, Paul III.”1
Henry VIII had already upset the Pope and the Catholic Church by:-
Annulling his marriage to Catherine of Aragon and marrying Anne Boleyn
Declaring himself “Supreme Head of the Church of England
Persecuting those who opposed the Acts of Supremacy and Succession
Dissolving the monasteries
His handling of the Pilgrimage of Grace
If this are true
holy damn, he was an ass
That's just the tip of the (((iceberg)))
He killed some of his wives too
Seriously for annulling the marriage fuck it
but
desecrating the dead
Queen Mary tried to bring back the faith
and destroying monasteries
wtf
He was mad because he didn't get a son so that's why he wanted annulment
I'd kill my nephews too if necessary
@wwezombiegod The tower is still preserved to this day?
