When I am finished with my current project, I have a new goal

The US Army is producing a new sighting system for their new infantry rifles which will be built for the new caliber they are producing

This new sighting system will theoretically move the reticle around within the optic to show the shooter where the bullet will go depending upon ambient environmental conditions

I want to produce my own integrated sensor and computing package that would use open standards to deliver environmental data traditionally used by devices such as the AtragMX ballistic calculator

this package would ideally sit on the rail of the firearm. Sensors could be added as desired, such as gyroscope, to further instruct the shooter to orient the bore axis with the horizon

If no commercial device is available to the shooter that makes use of this data, data could be produced on a small LCD that could offer real-time corrections based on current conditions
