detonators are extremely uniform
I have to admit, I'm not super experienced in professional explosives.
Then, when sobriety sets in and the initial emotional shock value wears off, the story suddenly rotates out of the news cycle.
But this thing is just...I don't know. It's not how I'd build it.
*IF* there was a large battery attached to this, it could conceivably be a fire hazard
but that is not going to explode as is.
Like, I'm the kind that would probably use a solenoid
Especially if no white man can be found wearing a MAGA hat and playing video games, the story is killed at that point.
But this thing just isn't going to be very effective.
Like, PVC? No nails?
The Unabomber lived in the woods and never studied anything practical and did better than this.
The same shit they do whenever a black man gets shot:
HE A GOOD BOY!
HE DINDU NUFFIN!
> Facebook posts and prior criminal convictions emerge.
SHUT IT DOWN!
It's all the same MO. The same tired shit.
Again, I'm not going to just buy into the false flag narrative without some proof. But I agree @Atkins this thing's...just not right somehow.
A story gets reported only so long as it fits the narrative and has enough emotional impact.
Do you remember Bush?
Yes, same MO.
Yeah, this has been going on for decades.
ANd I never said it's exclusive to any side.
This is propaganda.
That's why there are still small town papers with "democrat" or "republican" in the name.
Yes. There were few wars in American history that the media didn't play an important role in stoking.
More than that.
But yes.
I can't completely prove or even articulate it, either, but something really, really irks me about this story.
Besides, nobody uses regular mail anymore. Nowadays, I would have sent bombs by e-mail.
I'm pretty sure the FBI will determine the nature of the devices by tomorrow, assuming they haven't already.
Whether they release that information is uncertain.
They might not want to tell the bomber that they know the bombs are fake, for fear that he'll start making real ones.
Yes, they probably will. And then one of two things will happen:
1.) They turn out to be complete BS, and the story will be memory holed.
2.) They are actual IEDs in which case we will be hearing about the "right's violent rhetoric" until the election.
They are not actual IEDs. There's no power source.
Okay, then it's going to be memory holed. That, or they will start talking about "intimidation".
What Atkins said.
You can build better bombs with 10 minutes of searching Google or a trip to the library.
Then, the democrats will predictable take the podium and talk about how brave they are and how they will stand up to political intimidation (while, at the same time completely disregarding that they are the ones who started it).
Heck, the bombs in the Anarchist Cookbook are better than these. And the guy who wrote that was making up half of it.
But you are right about one thing. The perception is what matters.
And that perception will be manipulated.
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvised_explosive_device>
`An IED has five components: a switch (activator), an initiator (fuse), container (body), charge (explosive), and a power source (battery).`
scratch that less than a minute. Wikipedia tells you how to do it better.
