and accounts in social media of some kind.

if that works... why not make a kind of union? have the members follow a uniform standard of quality, but work for themselves.

“ Russian 2016 influence operation targeted Africa-Americans on social media “
By Scott Shane and Sheera Frenkel

The NYT claims that “ The Russian influence campaign on social media in the 2016 election made an EXTRAORDINARY EFFORT to target African-Americans..”

This is hyperbolic. It was reveled in that Senate hearing that only $4,600 was spent. This was in an election where 6.8 billion was spent. Watch the attached video for proof. Fake news.

please, that 4.7K isn't an actual serious attempt to influence america, it's effectively paying for a media circus that putin will watch as primetime entertainment

2018-12-28 17:09:48 UTC

It's not fake news the Russians did do this.

2018-12-28 17:10:07 UTC

But it had nothing to do with voter suppression it may have had that effect though.

2018-12-28 17:10:48 UTC

@Exiled Sentinel The Russians used social media to create division in the US, they didn't care about the lines.

2018-12-28 17:21:56 UTC

It’s fake news that this was an “ extraordinary effort”

No reason to believe it had any effect at all. Billions were being spent to get blacks to vote for and against Hillary. 4.7k spent to get them to not vote at all is like thinking you can flood the ocean by peeing into it.

2018-12-28 17:29:10 UTC

... I like that analogy.

2018-12-28 17:29:15 UTC

also, this was on my firefox

2018-12-28 17:30:13 UTC

Vox is proposing 18-year terms, and I can't help but feel it's a democrat's response to fear of their own political agenda being reversed

2018-12-28 17:32:43 UTC

Yeah, nothing cynical at all about Vox's about-face on judicial supremacy as soon as Hillary lost in 2016.

2018-12-28 17:32:46 UTC

Want to see something dumb?

2018-12-28 17:33:16 UTC

yep. Stupid at a glance

2018-12-28 17:33:19 UTC

racism exists.

2018-12-28 17:33:24 UTC

you know it. I know it.

2018-12-28 17:33:42 UTC

It gets dumber if you read it

2018-12-28 17:34:17 UTC

I openned it and gagged by the end of the first paragraph.

2018-12-28 17:34:37 UTC

Have an excerpt of stupid then.
For instance, John Boyega plays Nat Turner in the Star Wars reboot, The Force Awakens. He’s a slave (Stormtrooper) who leads a rebellion that eventually destroys the plantation (The Death Star) and defeats the slavemaster (Kylo Ren).

2018-12-28 17:35:52 UTC

It just keeps getting worse and worse

2018-12-28 17:36:06 UTC

Why in gods name did this get published?

2018-12-28 17:36:12 UTC

TBF, I can actually see that being subconsciously written in.

2018-12-28 17:36:27 UTC

the Disney SW films are... less than respectable

2018-12-28 17:36:51 UTC

The Force Awakens was Microwaved A New Hope

2018-12-28 17:37:11 UTC

It was

2018-12-28 17:37:18 UTC

I could forgive that, but then The Last Jedi was so cocked up it was made on a chicken farm

2018-12-28 17:37:30 UTC

Hence why Han regressed back to being a self serving asshole

2018-12-28 17:37:37 UTC

exactly.

2018-12-28 17:37:47 UTC

Rogue 1 wasn't fidelic to SW canon IIRC.

2018-12-28 17:38:02 UTC

Rogue 1 was also just a good movie

2018-12-28 17:38:16 UTC

it was definitely a good one, but it fell short in a number of ways.

2018-12-28 17:38:26 UTC

I loved the general concept of a SW war movie

2018-12-28 17:38:36 UTC

Sure but it was way above par

2018-12-28 17:38:40 UTC

oh definitely.

2018-12-28 17:38:46 UTC

Solo was... decent?

2018-12-28 17:38:52 UTC

mixed feels on it.

“ Russia even used Pokémon Go to hack the 2016 election. Here’s how.
By Glenn Fleisman on Fortune

Fortune claims that Russia hacked the 2016 presidential using Pokémon Go. How? Well, according to the discredited New Knowledge, they encouraged players to name their Pokémon after victims of police brutality. How is that a hack, and who seriously believes this changed a single vote?
