It is the most irrelevant stat I have ever seen

2018-11-07 10:20:15 UTC

Sadly he's rather old and doesN't have long to live.

2018-11-07 10:20:20 UTC

and we need _MORE_ of him.

2018-11-07 10:20:47 UTC

Affirmative action 😍

2018-11-07 10:20:53 UTC

Anyway. I don't get upset about statistics. I have a gene by which I should have had cancer by now. But I don't.

```The Way to hell is paved with Good Intentions```
Ever heard about that???
2018-11-07 10:21:12 UTC
if you have low IQ, you have less choices in life. There's no changes or rules you can bend to change that
2018-11-07 10:21:22 UTC
Yes, you can work harder.
2018-11-07 10:21:31 UTC
^
2018-11-07 10:21:33 UTC
U can try hard indeed
2018-11-07 10:21:35 UTC
exactly
2018-11-07 10:21:48 UTC
exactly what @.B
2018-11-07 10:21:48 UTC
but that's on the individual
2018-11-07 10:21:57 UTC
yeah that only thing that matters
2018-11-07 10:22:02 UTC
For many tasks, having an IQ difference of about one standard deviation means that you have to work at many tasks twice as hard.
2018-11-07 10:22:09 UTC
Except if I thought that some gene made people stupid I would help them
2018-11-07 10:22:30 UTC
@Undead Mockingbird I don't think that how that works?
2018-11-07 10:22:34 UTC
Also, some people are incredibly productive. The square root of people are often responsible for half of productivity.
2018-11-07 10:22:37 UTC
```if you have low IQ, you have less choices in life.```
If you have low IQ (like 80 and under), you're useless to society. I've worked with such low IQ people.
They don't even get that sitting in a bad place (where the whind might flow at a higher rate like next to an entrance) might make someone angry because he's cold.

2018-11-07 10:22:45 UTC

I have seen more successful black people when they accept that "black" culture is bad

2018-11-07 10:22:46 UTC

@Cody as long as you do it with your money, sure, go ahead

2018-11-07 10:22:56 UTC

Or that Coffee next to book is bad when you want to sell book

2018-11-07 10:23:04 UTC

@DanteMenace Well, for some tasks it is. For example, if you measure how long it takes two people to memorize a set of items.

2018-11-07 10:23:35 UTC

yeah but how practical is that to learn a task that can be repeated

2018-11-07 10:23:37 UTC

Two runners might not be equally fast, but if the task only consists in getting somewhere, both runners will eventually get there.

2018-11-07 10:23:39 UTC

is it still as hard

2018-11-07 10:23:48 UTC

or once the task or system is learned

2018-11-07 10:23:54 UTC

is it natural

2018-11-07 10:24:09 UTC

I know at below 80 it becomes almost impossible

2018-11-07 10:24:12 UTC

Yes, that is why I accepted that qualifier that restricts the applicable cases.

2018-11-07 10:24:21 UTC

IQ literally determines if someone can understand why they are doing something, and how to do it faster

2018-11-07 10:24:25 UTC

That's it

2018-11-07 10:24:39 UTC

the problem for them is that the workplace is in need for adaptability more than ever

2018-11-07 10:24:43 UTC

You can learn to do something by doing it repeatedly

2018-11-07 10:24:48 UTC

@Undead Mockingbird so once its learned its okay ish?

2018-11-07 10:24:51 UTC

Low IQ People are good ad doing a repetitive task.

2018-11-07 10:25:03 UTC

like taking a thing and placing it somewhere.

2018-11-07 10:25:10 UTC

In nature, someone with a high iq is more likely to craft a spear than someone with a low iq.

2018-11-07 10:25:11 UTC

Thing is: Those jobs are GONE.

2018-11-07 10:25:20 UTC

IQ determines how well a person performs at certain mental tasks. However, those tasks have been shown to also be highly predictive of other, unrelated, specific tasks.
